Her Loneliness
At the tender age of 21, Molly was confronted with a series of overwhelming challenges, and amidst them, she battled with the crushing weight of loneliness. The pain of becoming estranged from her family and enduring an exhaustive investigation as a crime victim added to her already heavy burden. A transition to an unfamiliar university town after a three-year gap year in Australia left her isolated without any support or companionship.

In the midst of grappling with the relentless trio of PTSD, depression, and anxiety, loneliness silently crept into her life, camouflaging itself in her struggles. Tragically, Molly remained oblivious to its presence and lacked someone to confide in, leaving her in a desperate and vulnerable state.

In her quest for support, Molly reached out to numerous mental health helplines, making as many as ten calls in a single night. However, she found that when she described her symptoms, the focus was often on addressing depression and anxiety, overlooking the profound loneliness she was experiencing. Despite following the advice given to manage depression and anxiety, her feelings of isolation continued to intensify until they became unbearable, driving her to the brink of severe suicidal thoughts.
